Pure magic and gold

My current job dictates that I make changes to existing websites. Today a change that I had to make caused a bit of a stir in my inner-designer heart. The premise is simple enough, take this current logo as seen below.

And switch it out with this pre-made monstrosity of collage, animal, and bad typography. I sure do love this job, someone please save me.
