Last week marked a truly special milestone in my journey as I hosted the very first AndBloom lunch in celebration of the launch of The Guide. Surrounded by thirty incredible women, we gathered at the beautiful Avani Amsterdam to honor not only a year of hard work, but also the essence of female connection, friendship, and inspiration.

The moment I stepped into the lunch space, I felt it radiate with warmth and feminine charm. The table, carefully styled in the signature AndBloom touch, set the tone immediately. Avani curated a beautiful lunch menu, which together with the elegant setting created the perfect atmosphere for heartfelt conversations and authentic connection.

I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous. Hosting the very first in a series of four lunches, in my hometown of Amsterdam, felt exciting yet daunting. But those feelings quickly gave way to pure joy and gratitude as I looked around the room and saw women engaging in real, meaningful conversations. What started as an idea to celebrate a book became a gathering of souls who connected deeply and warmly.

When women ask me what I love most about my work, my answer always comes back to this: bringing women together. Whether through Instagram, the pages of my new book, or in real-life events such as this one, creating spaces where women can connect is what fills my heart the most. In a world where so much of our lives unfolds through screens, it feels essential to create tangible, in-person moments. Moments that foster friendships, strengthen bonds, and allow us to feel truly seen.

Avani Amsterdam was the perfect setting for this celebration. Just a stone’s throw from the iconic Rijksmuseum and the historic heart of the city, the hotel provided the ideal backdrop for this gathering. If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, I cannot recommend it enough—not only for its location, but for the warmth and care with which they host their guests.
