I am frequently asked how I become so positive in life. I wasn't always like this, so I thought I'd write an article about how I've found what works best for me to stay positive on most days.

I believe everything is energy, and you can influence your own energy. When you are low on your energy, everything feels heavy and down; when you are high on your energy, it feels the opposite. So when things (and people) vibrate at a lower frequency, it feels heavy – both physically and emotionally. Things that vibrate at higher energy feel lighter – physically and emotionally.

Higher energy emotions include joy, love, openness, happiness, amusement, excitement, etc. At the same time, low-vibration emotions have sadness, grief, anger, fear, frustration, confusion, etc. You can feel the difference just by reading both energies, which is why you want to raise your higher energy: to feel happier and lighter.
Another reason you would want to raise your energy is to attract positive situations, experiences, and people. Remember the Law of Attraction?
If you think about what you want to attract into your life, I’m sure it’s positive energy things that bring you joy and pleasure.
So here is what I do to keep my energy high.
NATURE
Spending time in nature raises your energy. Whether a walk in the forest, sitting in your backyard looking at beautiful flowers, or walking barefoot on the grass, spending time appreciating the nature around you raises energy.

AFFIRMATIONS
Saying and repeating a sentence in the positive and present tense (as if it were already true) attracts that experience to you. You can also try writing your affirmations down because whether you say them out loud, write them down, or listen to audio, affirmations raise your vibration and attract what you want into your life.

VISUALIZATION
When you visualize your dreams, hopes, and wishes, close your eyes and imagine yourself experiencing something precisely that you want in life. While you imagine what you wish your life to be like, notice how you feel, and you are raising your energy and making your dreams come closer.

HIMALAYAN SALT LAMP
Some say the lamps purify the air and provide health benefits such as lifting your mood, enhancing sleep, and improving breathing conditions. I have one next to my bed since the day Finn was born and believe it helps me sleep better. The pink salt releases negative ions to help purify and improve the air quality around you. While negative ions may sound like a bad thing, they are actually very good for us. Water has negative ions. You know how relaxed you feel after a shower? Or how great you feel when you’ve been at the beach? It’s the negative ions coming from the water that makes us feel so good. Himalayan salt lamps also have a beautiful, ambient glow that enhances any decor.

CRYSTALS
Crystals with specific stones are said to help to relieve specific ailments such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia or more physical ailments such as digestive problems. The belief behind crystal therapy is that individual stones such as amethyst, rose quartz, and jade has the ability to communicate with the energy flow of the human body and help to realign the energy channels that are interrupting the natural flow of the body and help it heal itself. They are known for their high vibrational energy.

ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts and have become very popular over the last few years, but they’ve been used for thousands of years. Different oils give you different benefits. Lavender is good for relaxation and is my favorite.
Essential oils can be used in aromatherapy, a kind of complementary medicine that uses smell to improve your health, or applied to the skin. I almost always have Lavender in my diffuser, either alone or in combination with other oils. Patchouli, Sandalwood, Clove, Peppermint, and citrus are all pleasant and high-vibration oils. I am a big fan of The Blend essential oils.

MEDITATION
Meditation is the habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It helps you to relax and get centered. It reduces stress and raises your vibration. There are many different ways to meditate.
Stress reduction is one of the most common reasons people try meditation. Some forms of meditation may help you develop a stronger understanding of yourself, helping you grow into your best self.

DECLUTTER
Clutter has a very heavy, low-vibrational energy. It can drain all your energy far too easily – for a variety of reasons:
There are always things out of place
There are always things to do
You have to make decisions about your stuff constantly – and the more stuff you have, the more decisions you have to make
There are always reminders that make you feel less than positive about your surroundings.
You’re constantly having to waste your energy on the clutter – maintaining/cleaning / tidying it, etc…
Whether you feel physically tired or mentally tired – clutter could well be the cause. Clearing away the clutter and releasing the things in your life that no longer serve you lighten the energy and raises the vibration in your home.
