When I received an email last year from JACKS beauty line asking if I wanted to do a brush collaboration with them, I was enthusiastic immediately. I didn't have to think twice. If you are not familiar with them yet, JACKS beauty line is a wonderful German brand founded by the incredibly talented makeup artist Miriam Jacks. Miriam started the brand because she wanted to give the standard, often boring-looking makeup brushes an artistic character. She believes that makeup should be a daily practice of self-care and wellbeing, not a frustrating chore. Together with her co-founder Lisa Buchholz, they have built a brand that is authentic, approachable, and dedicated to enhancing natural beauty rather than covering it up.

And the heart of their brand? Their iconic, hand-painted makeup brushes.

So, when they asked me to collaborate, I packed my bags and went to Berlin to paint seven brushes at their studio.

When I went there, I honestly had no idea what to expect. But upon arriving, I walked into a beautiful, light-filled art studio absolutely packed with paint and brushes. It was an artist's dream. We started in the morning, and before we knew it, the day was entirely gone. We spent hours painting lots and lots of oak wooden sticks in different sizes. Those wooden sticks would later become professional makeup brushes designed by Miriam JACKS—but in this case, hand-painted by me.

When I left the studio that same day, we had decided on the seven specific brushes that were going to make up the AndBloom x JACKS beauty line brush collaboration.

What happened next is truly a labor of love. A team of beautiful, dedicated women painted for months to get thousands of brushes ready before our launch on the 18th of June. Hand by hand, piece by piece, with lots and lots of love.

After the wooden sticks were painted, they were sent to a special factory in Germany for coating, and finally, the brush hairs were attached.

And now, they are finished.

A Few Gentle Reminders for the Month Ahead

Each and every brush is a unique, hand-painted art piece. No two are exactly alike. They come packaged in a beautiful, special box, complete with a personal, handwritten note from the JACKS team.

But this collaboration is about more than just beautiful makeup tools. It is about giving back. For every brush sold, one euro goes directly to charity. Furthermore, there will be an auction featuring three of my paintings, where the entire proceeds will also be donated to a good cause.

I am so incredibly proud of this project. It brings together art, beauty, female entrepreneurship, and charity in a way that feels so perfectly aligned with everything AndBloom stands for.
